Jay Holman, a longtime resident of the Bronx died February 18, 2019 after a valiant fight with a long illness. He was 76. Born on Staten Island on September 28, 1942, he was the son of Alfred B. and Louise Cedrik Holman.

Jay went on to become a Registered Nurse having worked at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx for 35 years. He specialized in post-op care for many of those years. Jay had an endless thirst for knowledge, earning 3 Master’s Degrees.

He was also an avid traveler. Jay was a man of great religious belief and devotion and had been a parishioner of the Latin Mass Congregation that has their Sunday Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Sleepy Hollow every week. He is survived by his siblings Frederick, Claire Marie, Paul and Teresa Holman as well as many good friends.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM. A Solemn Requiem Mass will be on Friday at 10:00 at St. John Paul, II at Immaculate Conception 199 North Broadway Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Staten Island.
