Obituary for Jean Ann Mikolaiczik Loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at her home. Age 77 years. The daughter of the late Ted and Mabel (Smith) Doyle, Jean was born on December 10, 1940 in Hemlock, Michigan.

She married Dale T. Mikolaiczik on October 8, 1960. He survives her. Jean and Dale have lived in Kochville Township for 57 years.

She was a long time member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and current member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Jean was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council #4232 Ladies Auxiliary and League of Catholic Women. Jean worked in the Food Service Program for Saginaw Public Schools for 23 years retiring in 1998.

She was First Lady of Wixom Waters Campground for 10 years. Jean enjoyed cooking, going to the casino, spending summers up north, but most of all cherished spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband Dale are three children, Joni (Brian Gnatkowski) Mikolaiczik, Saginaw; Mark (Susan) Mikolaiczik, Plymouth; and John (Amy) Mikolaiczik, Saginaw; six grandchildren, Austin Mikolaiczik, Ashley (Nathan) Ply, Alec Mikolaiczik, Andrew Mikolaiczik, Blake Mikolaiczik and Paige Mikolaiczik; a sister, Barbara (Bill Monk) Caulfield, Au Gres.

Jean was preceded in death by her siblings, Catherine Richnak and Dale Doyle. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Rd. Rev.

Fr. William Rutkowski will officiate with interment to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Knights of Columbus Council #4232 Ladies Auxiliary will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Holy Cross Children’s Services or the Eastside Soup Kitchen.
