Obituary for James E. Kubik Kubik, James E. of Bay City, Michigan formerly of Saginaw Jim was born on Father’s Day and he passed to a better place two days before Mother’s Day, on May 11, 2018 at the age of 60. He had Stage 4 Melanoma which spread to his brain and lungs. This disease finally won the battle, but GOD has him now with a new body without pain.

Jim graduated in 1975 from Arthur Hill High School where he played the French Horn – 1st chair, and he also studied at Interlochen Center for the Arts. Back in the late 70’s, his 1968 Dodge Charger was his pride and joy – purred like a kitten when he was tuning it up at midnight in front of the house – yea – Mom and Dad didn’t like it much – neighbors either – Always a mechanic, always tinkering with ‘stuff”, lately it has been computer related and trust me he’s not a ‘technical’ person, but his mind was sharp as a whip. He was a Bass player in a band called MIRAGE back in the 80’s.

John Cashman who was one of his best friends will miss him dearly. He was so good he was asked to interview for Bob Seager band but never went. For the past several years he worked for Valley Publishing in Bay City.

The Kubik family would like to give their “THANKS” to the 1st State Home and Hospice Care team of Emma “the nurse”, Jennifer and Paula that helped Jim during his last days. His good friend Rick from work who kept an eye on him and called us when we were needed to help the most. Surviving are his Father “Bill”; older brother, “Bill Jr.” and his wife, “Marci”; Uncle “Jim” and Aunt “Janice” on his mother’s side; two nephews: Geoffrey & Tylor; Cousin “Nancy”.

He will be dearly missed…… VISITATION: Friends and family are welcome to visit informally at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd.
