Obituary for John “Mr. O” Ospalski Saginaw Twp. , Michigan Passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at his home. Age 67 years.

The son of the late Leon and Esther (Spencer) Ospalski, John was born on May 18, 1950 in Highland Park, Michigan. John served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. John loved having conversations with people and had a wonderful “gift to gab”.

He was very proud to be able to pass down his long time hobby of separating scrap metal to his grandchildren. John also enjoyed eagles and old cars. He participated in the Golden Age Games, Walleyes for Warriors and spent countless hours of his free time at the V.A. Medical Center.

Surviving are two daughters, Angel McQueen and Beth Ospalski, longtime companion, Dee LeVasseur and her children, Angie (Rick) Haeufle and Bridget (Robert) Thiebeault; his grandchildren, Marissa, Tanner, Karlie and Nathan; his siblings, Patricia Ospalski, Claudia Ospalski, Jim Ospalski; many nieces and nephews; close friends, Dave “Cowboy” Estrada and Todd Newman; his canine companion, Taz. John was preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Opal, Lee Opal and Virginia Hite. Military Honors will be presented at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

, (between Shattuck and McCarty). Private burial will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
