Obituary for Bertha E. Zuckschwerdt Saginaw, Michigan. Loving mother and grandmother passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her home. Age 89 years.

The daughter of the late Walter and Ellen (Barcey) King, Bertha was born September 10, 1928 in Lansing, Michigan. She was married to Warren G. Zuckschwerdt on February 17, 1947. He predeceased her May 2, 2011.

She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #4232 Ladies Auxiliary. Bertha was an avid reader and also enjoyed wintering in Florida, golfing and playing bingo. Surviving to cherish her memory are two sons and two daughters, John Zuckschwerdt, Saginaw; Michael and JoEllen Zuckschwerdt, Hale; Bonnie Zuckschwerdt, Saginaw; Barbara Zuckschwerdt, Saginaw; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.

Bertha was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Ann Zuckschwerdt and her brother, Alfred King. Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Rev.

Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home.

Friends may visit at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Home and Health Hospice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
