Obituary for Michael Roland O’Connor On Sunday, June 24, 2018, our loving husband, father and grandfather, Michael Roland O’Connor, joined his Lord and Savior in his Heavenly home at the age of 74. Mike will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend of 54 years, Patricia and his children Laurie (Mike) Denno, Cheryl (Bruce) Tomke and Julie (Brad) Ragsdale. Mike will be sadly missed by his eight grandchildren, Brittany (David), Alex, Nick, Josh, Caleb, Sam, Abby and Connor.

A native of Saginaw, Michigan, Mike was born on June 28, 1943 to Roland and Doris (Rupp) O’Connor. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Robert and infant sister, Katherine. Mike began his career in the auto industry in 1965 and worked at Saginaw Steering Gear, Malleable Iron in Saginaw, Central Foundry in Bedford, IN and retired from Delphi Automotive in Saginaw after 38 years of service.

He attended Saginaw Valley State University and graduated with an Engineering degree in 1982. Mike was a life-long member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Saginaw and served the Lord faithfully as a leader and mentor in many roles over the years. He loved his family and friends, the cabin in Lake City, MI, traveling, tractors, old pick-up trucks and a good glass of red wine.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss St, Saginaw, Michigan. Pastor Michael Korte will officiate with burial in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran School Angel Program or Valley Lutheran High School Building Fund. ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.
