Obituary for Rose A. Ferchau Saginaw, Michigan. Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Shields Comfort Care. Age 88 years.

The daughter of the late Frank and Sarah (Tappen) Chowaniec, Rose was born October 22, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Jack E. Ferchau on September 16, 1950. He predeceased her on December 31, 2011.

Rose was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and its Altar Society. She volunteered at St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center and participated in James Township Gents and Gennies and the Falcons Club. She enjoyed gardening, polka music, bowling and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Jack Ferchau Jr. and his wife Kelly, Freeland; Jill Muir and her husband Robert, Paw Paw, Michigan; Jay Ferchau, Fred, Texas; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Tony (Brenda), Rachal (David), Sarah (Matthew), Autumn and Larissa (Timothy); three great-grandchildren, Emma, Rylee and Gabriella; one brother and one sister, Joseph (Connie) Chowaniec and Theresa (William) Kirby; many nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Crane. Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Rev. Fr. Thai Nguyen assisted by Deacon Roger Pasionek will officiate.

Interment will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
