Obituary for Rebecca (Becky) T. Moreno Beloved wife, mother and sister passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at University of Michigan Hospital. Age 73 years. The daughter of the late Luis and Jesusa (Verdusco) Ochoa, Becky was born August 17, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan.

She married Francisco Moreno, her loving husband of 40 years, on March 4, 1978. He survives her. Becky earned numerous degrees including Bachelors of Applied Science, Nursing Degree through St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, Certified Occupational Health Nurse and Certified Case Manager.

She was employed as plant nurse at Saginaw Steering Gear for many years until her retirement. Becky was a member of St. Dominic Parish and the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses. She enjoyed cooking and baking and loved spending time with family.

Surviving besides her husband Francisco are two children, Amanda Moreno and her fiancé, Mitchell Naegele and Garbriel Moreno; one sister and one brother, Albert and Irma Vega; Marylou and Frank Sanchez; a sister-in-law, Mary Ochoa; many nieces and nephews. Becky was preceded in death by a brother, Luis Ochoa. Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 at St. Dominic Parish-St. Stephen Catholic Church, 2711 Mackinaw Street in Saginaw.

Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate with burial in Mt.

Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.

A Vigil Service, led by Sharon Wahl, Pastoral Associate, will take place 4:00 p.m. Wednesday. Family and friends will pray the Rosary 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Dominic Parish or the Underground Railroad.
