Obituary for Hollis “Bud” Pace II Saginaw Twp. , Michigan Beloved husband, father, PaPa and brother, passed away at home Wednesday May 30, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. The son of the late Hollis and Vernita (Campbell) Pace, was born on January 2, 1948.

Bud married Nan Lee, on June 28, 1975. She survives him. He died as he lived, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Bud attended the University of Southern Mississippi and Northwood Institute. He was a small business owner and later specialized in kitchen design. Bud served in the United States Army Reserve, was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Saginaw Country Club and The Fordney Club.

Being an avid Michigan State fan, he enjoyed watching games, playing golf, working in his yard and boating on Higgins Lake. A kind and gentle man is how Bud will be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Surviving besides his wife Nan are his two sons, Hollis “Buddy” (Jennifer) Pace III of St. Joseph, MI and John (Sarah) Pace of Chicago, Il; four grandchildren, Campbell, Ben, Linden and Norah; two sisters, Kay Hollar of Fenton, MI and Judy McGovern of Saginaw, MI; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin and Mary Howard of East Lansing, MI; many loved nieces and nephews; countless friends and the many lives he touched.

Bud was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Patricia Lee, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Neil and Barbara Hunkeler. Honoring Bud’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00 at Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Friends are welcome to meet at the funeral home on Thursday, June 7 where the family will be present from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 until the time of service.
