Obituary for Shirley M. Dennis Shirley M. Dennis Saginaw, Michigan Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel (Baker) Allen, Shirley was born on September 18, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan.

She married Grant Dennis, her loving husband of 70 years, on May 15, 1948. He survives her. After her and Grant were married, Shirley stayed at home caring for family, whom she was very proud of.

She enjoyed doing crafts, doing word search puzzles, but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always remember her for the never ending supply of candy bars and always getting some pocket change when they visited. Surviving besides her husband Grant are one daughter, Linda (Troy) Northrup, Saginaw; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Dennis, Saginaw; three grandchildren, Scott (Kim) Dennis, Sandra (William) Steinmann and Kevin Northrup; six great-grandchildren, Jacob, Scott Jr., Katelyn, Alexandra, MaKena and William; many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by two children Penny Dennis and Gary Dennis; her siblings, Ruth Bennett, Arthur Allen, Kenneth Allen, Fred Allen and Wayne Allen. Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 27, 2018 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty).

Interment to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Lung Association.
