Obituary for Steven C. Seeburger Saginaw, Michigan Our loving husband and step-father passed away peacefully after a long fight with Parkinson’s on Monday, July 16, 2018 at HealthSource. He was 70 years old. Steve was born on April 20, 1948, son of the late Harold and Gwendoline (Shaw) Seeburger, in Midland.

Steve was a graduate of Midland High School, Michigan State University, and Saginaw Valley State University. Steve married Nancy Preston on August 7, 1981. He retired from Carrollton Public Schools where he taught for 32 years.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Steve enjoyed traveling, spending time up north at the cabin, music, watching sports (especially MSU), spending time with his family, casino trips and scratching lottery tickets. One of Steve’s daily goals was to make sure he put a smile on someone’s face.

Steve will be missed by his loving wife, Nancy, step-daughter, Julie Oczepek (special friend Wayne Helm); father-in-law Walt Preston; his sister Sandy and Henry Briggs; niece Amanda Briggs (special friend Chris Shelton), special friend Donna Russell and his beloved fur baby, Rosie. Also surviving are many cousins, extended family members and close friends. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Harold, mother Gwendoline, sister Cheryl, mother-in-law Norene Preston, best friend Al Miller, and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Thank you to the wonderful care he received at HealthSource. He will also miss all of the friendships he made the past three years he resided there. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Rd.

Pastor Kristina Truhan will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home. Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
