Obituary for Mary Jane Lemmer Saginaw Twp. , Michigan Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 77 years.

The daughter of the late John and Marvel (Gross) Garno, Mary Jane was born on January 31, 1941 in Hemlock, Michigan. She married Roland “Ron” Lemmer on May 12, 1962. He survives her.

Mary Jane was a bookkeeper for Kmart for 28 years retiring in 1997. Mary Jane was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and was recently finding her love for Red Wing Hockey. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, baking and crossword puzzles, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mary Jane was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Surviving besides her husband Ron are two sons, John (Teresa) Lemmer, Grand Juction, Michigan; Donald (Tammy) Lemmer, Saginaw; six grandchildren, Amanda (Brendan) Willer, Jacob (Jaime) Lemmer, Courtney Lemmer, Emilee Lemmer, Logan Lemmer and Braydon Lemmer; a great-grandson, Liam Lemmer; her siblings, Gary (Lorraine) Garno, John (Chris) Garno and Linda (Lawrence) Clark; a sister-in-law, Marie Garno; many nieces and nephews. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her two brothers and one sister-in-law, Richard (Norma) Garno and Ronald “Root” Garno.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Nursing Staff at Covenant HealthCare for their compassionate and loving care. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2565 N. Miller Rd. Pastor Bob Allmann will officiate.

Honoring Mrs. Lemmer’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
