Obituary for Mary Ann Szczepanik Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at Covenant Health Care-Harrison Campus. Age 98 years. Daughter of the late John and Catherine (Rys) Kasprzyk, Mary was born November 19, 1919 in St. Charles, Michigan.

She was married to Walter Szczepanik on November 25, 1939. He predeceased her August 25, 1984. Mary was employed by Markey Elliott for 17 years.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, past member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and an active member. Mary was also a member of Pulaski Club Women’s Auxiliary and past president of the Senior Citizens “Audra Francis”. Surviving to cherish her memory are three sons and their spouses, Walter and Jacqueline Szczepanik, Madison, Tennessee; William and Nancy Szczepanik, Saginaw; James and Kathleen Szczepanik, Freeland; son-in-law, Randall R. Gosen, Saginaw; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by a daughter, Mariann K. Gosen, two sisters, Anna Bartot and Sophie Wazny, three brothers, Stanley, Joseph and Alfred Kasprzyk and by a sister-in-law, Ann Gilson. Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev.

Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil service will take place 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
