Obituary for John R. “Jack” Murlick John R. “Jack” Murlick, Saginaw, Michigan. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center. Age 84 years.

Son of the late Frank R. and Regina (Denton) Morlick, John was born February 2, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Lorraine C. Wegner, his loving wife of 61 years on April 27, 1957.

She survives him. Jack was employed at Grey Iron and Nodular Iron for 34 years retiring to Higgins Lake in 1987. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Carrollton Eagles and the Moose Lodge.

Jack enjoyed playing euchre and was an avid fisherman. Surviving besides his wife Lorraine are two daughters and one son, Cyndi and Pat Gnatkowski, Tim Murlick, Amy and Jim Nuerminger all of Saginaw; four grandchildren, Ryan Gnatkowski, Chelsi Gnatkowski, Carly Nuerminger and Sam Nuerminger; his brothers and sisters, Regina Humpert, Joann and Bo Boettcher, Genevieve and Buzz Bremer, Shirley Roof, Joyce and Ken Laatsch, Beverly and Chuck Nichols, Dale Murlick, Bill and Sharon Murlick, Sharon and Gary Scharich, Terry and Donna Murlick; a sisters-in-law Donna Murlick, June Wegner; many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers, Betty Conway, Frank Morlick Jr., Bert Murlick and Jerry Murlick and a special niece Diane Goodrow.

A special thanks to the staff at the Aleda E. Lutz V. A. Medical Center Palliative Care Unit for the love and support they have given. Honoring Mr. Murlick’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss, Saginaw.

Pastor Charles Buckhahn will officiate. Military Service conducted by American Legion Post #439 will follow. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

(between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
