Jean Diamond passed away the morning of June 17th, 2018 after a short illness. She was 96 and had been living in at the Inn at Freedom Square Long Term Care facility in Seminole, Florida. Jean Ethel Smith was born in Chicago to Sadie and Benjamin Smith on April 8th, 1922.

In October of 1945 she married Jack Diamond. They had 3 children: Judy, Sandy, and Ron. They lived in Lansing, IL.

In 1970 Jack and Jean relocated to St. Pete Beach. Jean enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid tennis player. She also won many bowling tournaments.

She loved playing Mahjong and Bridge, as well. She tirelessly volunteered for many organizations including Hadassah and the local Temple. She was a member of Brandeis and traveled with the group.

While at the nursing home, Jean enjoyed playing Bingo and was appointed spokesperson for the residents. She was preceded in passing by her husband Jack Diamond. She is survived by daughter Judy Ober in Clearwater, daughter Sandy in St. Louis, and son Ron Diamond (Paula) in Largo.

Service arrangements are pending. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Suncoast Hospice in Jean’s memory. (suncoasthospicefoundation.org/donations/) .
