Jean E. (Haggar) Fertelmes, age 85, of Stratford, passed away May 31, 2018. Mrs. Fertelmes was born in Bpt. , CT to the late Thomas and Ella Haggar.

She worked as secretary to Nathan Schine of the former City Lumber Company in Bridgeport. She also worked at New Haven Terminal. Mrs. Fertelmes was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary East End Yacht Club.

She is survived by her beloved husband Frank J. Fertelmes, her devoted children Donald and his wife Judy Fertelmes and Karen and her husband Andrew Hovan; three loving grandchildren Jennifer Hovan-Brown and her husband Tony Brown, Brendan Hovan and Stephen Fertelmes, her cherished great-granddaughter Brielle Grace Brown and her loving niece Leslie Riccio and her husband Eugene and nephew Thomas Haggar and his wife Jacqueline. She was predeceased by her grandson Christopher Sawyer, her brother Earl Haggar and sister in-law Peggy Haggar. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd.

Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
