Obituary for Otilio Nieves Otilio Nieves, age 78, of Bridgeport, entered into peaceful rest on Monday, August 20, 2018 at North Bridge Health Care surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Otilio was born in Camuy, PR on June 14, 1940 the son of the late Pablo Nieves & Enriqueta Albelo. Besides his parents Otilio was predeceased by: daughter, Margarita Nieves; step father, Ramon Arbelo; siblings, Dionisia Arbelo, Confesor Nieves, Domingo Nieves, Luz Ruemmele and Juana Velez.
Otilio migrated from Puerto Rico to Bridgeport, CT as a young boy. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. His trademark was his Kango hat and his Plaid Shirts.
He enjoyed doing puzzle books, playing scratch off’s and watching Spanish soap operas. He also enjoyed making and serving coffee to everyone that came to visit his home. He loved to eat and spend time with his Nieces and Nephews.
Otilio is survived by: son, Jose Nieves; daughter, Marta Nieves, Maria DelValle; siblings, Gloria Serrano, Carmen Lebron, Theresa Ramos, Anna Luz Nieves-Santiago; 18 grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends that will cherish his memory.
