Obituary for Gerald John Duhancik Gerald John Duhancik, age 69 of Shelton, the spouse of 45 years of Christine Duhancik, succumbed to cancer on September 20, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. Gerald was born February 27, 1949 in Bridgeport, the beloved son of the late Marie & John Duhancik. He graduated from Bassick High School, then joined the US Air Force.
Gerald served and defended our country during the Vietnam War. On his return Gerald worked as a tool and die maker, and married his sweetheart, Christine Murray Wright. He was a proud father of three.
In his past time he enjoyed camping, fishing, shooting, boating and old westerns. Gerald retired form Bullard’s & Perkin Elmer. Besides his parents Gerald was predeceased by his brother John Paul Duhancik.
Gerald is survived by: wife, Christine M. Duhancik; sons, Gerald (Jill) Duhancik, William (Carrie) Wright; daughter, Kirsty (Ron) Kempf; 7 grandchildren, James & Justin Duhancik, Cali & Caylum Kempf, Paige, Parker & Pilot Wright; sister, Oliven Fuller; brother, Richard (Doreen) Duhancik; nephews, Chuck Fuller, Joseph (Adrian) Duhancik; nieces, Christine Fuller & Jillian Duhancik. A Memorial Service Honoring Gerald will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm at First Congregational Church 2301 Main St. Stratford, CT 06615. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Community Funeral Chapels tel:203-334-9999.
