Jane Kathleen Maynes Johnson, age 54, of Stratford, beloved wife of Stephen (Caz) Johnson, suddenly passed away on July 26, 2018. Born in Wallingford on December 31, 1963, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Peg) Maynes. Jane was a dedicated employee of The Hartford Insurance Company, where she worked hard for many years and was admired by her colleagues.

Previously, she worked for several other Insurance Companies where she gained loyal friends along the way. She loves to escape to Barnard, Vermont, where she grew up and later married the love of her life. Jane was adored by all who knew her.

She was the best friend to so many and made everyone feel special. Family was very important to her, and her friends were part of her family. She was a caring wife, sister and cousin, “God Jane”, aunt, in-law, and friend who brought joy to so many with her funny storie, perfect gifts and cards, and phone calls at just the right time.

She enjoyed gardening, music, ceramics, cooking, and embraced her Irish Heritage, being a proud member of both the GAC and IHSM. She could make you smile with her laughter and the sparkle in her eyes. Her love of life will be remembered forever by all who loved her.

In addition to her husband, Steve, survivors include her brother Kevin Maynes and his fiancé Toni Brown, of Texas, and her sister Mary Koury, of New Hampshire, and their precious cat, Jake, in-laws Sharon, Jim and his wife Donna, and Ken Johnson, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Dennis Maynes.
