Charlotte J. Squires, 83, passed away peacefully on Nov. 3, 2018 at Gardner Heights, Shelton, CT. Charlotte was born April 25, 1935 in Bpt.

, CT to the late Edward and Alice (Bonneville) Squires. She was raised and spent most of her life on Lynne Place, Bpt. with her parents and late grandmother, Nora Bonneville.

Later on in life, she and her mother moved to Aspetuck Village in Shelton. Charlotte retired as a dedicated employee of the City of Bpt. , Board of Ed Payroll Dep’t.

Charlotte was loved by all. She was always concerned about others in her sweet, caring way. Charlotte loved spending time with her family and many cousins, the Frosts, the Squires and the Maddens.

They spent many evenings together, as well as many vacations at Lake Winnipisaukee at Bayside Inn, Alton Bay, N.H. She loved the water, her New York Yankees and traveling. She took many trips all over the world with her cousin (best friend and sister), the late Shirley Madden and other friends.

She also played bocce at Aspetuck Village. Charlotte was always a part of someone’s party or event with her famous “Charlotte’s Brownies”. Charlotte will be greatly missed by family and friends, especially her Goddaughter and caretaker, Margaret Samatulski and her family, the Kaesmanns and, most especially, her long-time friend Joan Kaesmann.

Charlotte was a faithful parishioner at St. Lawrence Church, Shelton. She was predeceased by her parents and grandparents, cousins Shirley and Robert Madden and their son Robert Madden Jr., Arnold Frost and Gary Frost. She is survived by her cousins Christopher (Nancy) Madden, Michael (Michele) Madden and Regis Madden and her family, as well as Donald (Jack) Frost, Darlene (Gary) Frost Davis and their children and grandchildren.

A special thank you to her caregivers (Angels) at Gardner Heights, who took such great care of her over the past few years, as well as to the CT Hospice team that helped make her feel comfortable during the past few months and to her conservator, Atty. Shawn Splan and his assistant Constance Saccone. Charlotte will truly be missed by all.

Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. , 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave. Shelton and interment in Lakeview Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Swim Across the Sound, c/o St. Vincent’s Medical Center, 2800 Main St. Bpt. , CT 06606.
