Edgar was born March 28, 1964 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of Rosa DeJesus & the late Alberto Sanjurjo. Edgar moved from San Juan to Bridgeport, CT. , where he married former spouse, Mildred Umpierre, and had two daughters.
He later married Carmen Sanjurjo and relocated to Ft. Myers, FL. , where he resided until the time of his passing.
Edgar was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, uncle, brother, son, and friend to many. He was a hardworking and honest man. Edgar enjoyed fixing cars, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He will be missed deeply by all who had the honor of knowing him. Edgar is survived by: daughter, Yalixsa & son-in-law John Keklik of Derby, CT. ; daughter, Mildred Sanjurjo of Bridgeport, CT.
; five sisters, Gladys Ortiz, Ima Sanjurjo, Wanda Sanjurjo, Yadira Sanjurjo, Maria Sanjurjo; three grandchildren, Alexia Keklik, Bella Keklik, Jordan G. Valentin; nephew who he loved like a son, Christian Sanjurjo; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will cherish his memory. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. , 06604.
