DEGRAIDE, JEAN J., 86, of Coventry, passed away, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Riverview Healthcare Community. He was the loving husband of 66 years to Mildred Rose (DeGregory) Degraide. Born in West Warwick to the late Jean and Yvonne (Blanchette) Degraide.

Jean was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean war. After his discharge from the military, he was a lace weaver for Artistic Lace. He was an avid golfer and belonged to the West Warwick Country Club.

He was also a member of the Little Rhody Beagle Club in Warwick. He was predeceased by his sister Lucy Cournoyer. Surviving are his brothers Henry and Maurice Degraide and his sister Claire Enos.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 15, 2019 at 10 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, West Warwick. Interment will follow at the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean’s name to the Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904-9826.
