Jean L. Friedrich, age 92, Netcher Rd. , Jefferson Twp. , died late Thursday evening at her residence.

She was born May 13, 1925 in Conneaut, the daughter of Lloyd E. & Eleanor R. (George) Titus and has resided in Ashtabula County all of her life. Jean was a graduate of Rowe High School and attended Dykes Spencerian College. She was married to Edwin R. Friedrich on March 21, 1948 in Conneaut.

Mrs. Friedrich retired from the Stouffer-Herzog Insurance Agency after 29 years and following retirement was the receptionist at the Jefferson Healthcare Center for 14 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jefferson more than 60 years, where she taught Sunday school for over 40 years. With her husband, she owned and operated the Friedrich Dairy Farm, was a member of the Sunshine & Orion Chapters of the Eastern Star for 65 years and was a card-carrying member of the NRA.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and was best known for her cookies. In 1723, her ancestor, Captain Samuel Titus was one of the original pioneers to settle in Ashtabula County. She is survived by two children, Edwin R. (Heidi) Friedrich of Jefferson and Brenda J. (Robert) Nick of Ashtabula; three grandchildren, Scott E. (Kristen) Friedrich of Bellefountain, Meghan J. (Andrew Brezina) Friedrich of Waco, TX & Andrew F. (Tricia Farhmeier) Nick of Cincinnati and three great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Kyle & Jocelyn.

Her parents, her husband, Edwin in 2006 and a brother, Edward L. Titus all preceded her in death. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 A. M. at the First Baptist Church, 85 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Pastor Ed Pickard officiating. No calling hours will be observed.
