Jean Marie Ronyak, 69 Stow…Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Christ The Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph The Provider Catholic Church, with Monsignor Peter Polando officiating, for Jean Marie Ronyak, 69, who passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018. Jean was born Nov. 30, 1948, in Youngstown, the daughter of Frank and Jean Pluma Thomas.

She was a 1966 graduate of Ursuline High School and received her Diploma in Nursing from St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing. Jean worked for many years in Labor and Delivery at St. Elizabeth Hospital and also at St. Francis Hospital in New Castle. Eventually, Jean earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pennsylvania State University, and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University.

Jean worked as a Nurse Practitioner for CVS, Walgreens, and also for Matrix Health. She helped many patients over the years, visiting them in their home. She enjoyed people, helping others, and loved going to the theater.

Most of all, Jean loved spending time with her grandson. Jean will be deeply missed by her daughter, Julie Ronyak Patti; her son, Adam Ronyak; her grandson, Steven Patti; and her sister, Barbara Guerriere. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son-in-law, Nicholas Patti.

The Ronyak family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Thursday from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
