Jeanene Austin, 63, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center in LaFontaine, Indiana. Jeanene was born on February 20, 1956, to the late Bernard Caudill and Judith Lanternier. Jeanene attended Marion High School, then worked at St. Regis for many years, until its closing.

After St. Regis closed, she opened her own housekeeping business. She attended Northeast Church of God. On February 5, 2001, she married Robert Austin.

Jeanene loved to plant flowers, draw with sidewalk chalk, and plan Halloween birthday parties for her granddaughters. She loved her grandchildren and was always going to their dance recitals and concerts. She loved her pets, Charlie, Zoey, and Mittens, and missed them since they passed.

Jeanene was a great listener and was always ready to lend an ear. She was very loyal to her husband, Rob, whom she loved very much, and became his caregiver for more than a decade. Jeanene is survived by her husband, Rob Austin; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Alison Brewer, Marion; two step-sons, Robby and Ricky (Jodi) Austin, both of Marion; one step-daughter, Samantha (Carl) LeBlanc, Lake Tahoe, CA; six grandchildren, Ashlynn (Christian) Kelley, Gwynn (Kurtis Alcala) Brewer, Chase Austin, Seth and Meghan Austin, and Aria LeBlanc; one great-grandson, Daniel Alcala; two brothers, Jerry (Marilyn) Caudill, Van Buren, IN, and Dean (Beth) Caudill, Longs, SC; and two sisters, Jacque (Kirk) Detamore, Marion, and Jane (Ernie) Guy, Van Buren, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Judith. Arrangements for Jeanene have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
