Jeanette Vraibel Enko 84, formerly of Southampton passed away Monday November 26, 2018 at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born November 15, 1934, the daughter of Edward and Ann Wierminski Vraibel in Queens, NY. She attended New York schools and moved to Westfield at an early age where she met her husband, Douglas.

They settled in Southampton where she was a homemaker. As a young woman, she worked for TWA as an Administrative Assistant, a profession she was very proud of. She was also Administrative Assistant to the Board of Selectmen in Southampton and worked at other various jobs as a secretary.

She was an artist by all accounts. She was an accomplished quilter, enjoyed ceramics and attended stained glass classes with Douglas. Jeanette and Douglas also enjoyed wintering in Florida together.

She also enjoyed tennis and bowling in her earlier years as well as being a frequent shopper at many tag sales and craft fairs. Jeanette was the widow of Douglas R. Enko, who passed away in 2005. Missing her will be her two sons Douglas and wife Monica, Kirk and wife Kim both of Haydenville, two daughters, Sharon and husband James Szacruk of Southampton, and Leslie Macutkiewicz of Haydenville.

She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sister Virginia Paquette, five grandchildren Ryan, Abigail, Krystel, Dougie, and Christian. She also leaves behind her cousin and friend, Irene, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Kyle, her granddaughter Lacey Angelica, brother-in-law Gerald Paquette, and stepfather Marshall Dewey.

Family and friends may call at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton Thursday November 29th from 4-7pm with a funeral service at 7pm. Graveside Service will be Friday November 30th at 11 am at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Westfield. Memorial gifts may be given to the Kyle Enko Memorial Scholarship Fund, Hampshire Regional High School, Stage Road, Westhampton,MA01027 or to Holyoke VNA Hospice Life Care.
