Obituary for Jeanette June Walen Jeanette June Walen, 80, of Delhi, Iowa, passed at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018 with Funeral Services to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Delhi United Methodist Church, Delhi. Inurnment at West Lawn Cemetery, Lehigh, Iowa at a later date.

Arrangements by Bohnenkamp – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, Iowa. Jeanette was born February 18, 1938, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of John and Vira (Spooner) Foust. Jeanette married Denny Fiferlick in April 1958.

Denny passed away in 2000. On June 26, 2004, Jeanette and Archie Walen were married on Lake Delhi and had a happy and loving marriage for 14 years. She worked for J.C. Penney Corp.

, retiring after 25 years of service. Jeanette was a member of the Delhi United Methodist Church, Red Hat Society, Delhi Gardening Club and the Senior Meal Center. Jeanette is survived by her husband, Archie Walen of Delhi; children, Steven Fiferlick, Stuart Fiferlick, and Shad (Pam) Fiferlick; step-children, Sheree (Joe) Cupps, Jerald (Sherry) Walen, Barry (Patty) Walen, Karri (Shawn) Newman, and Terry (Kristin) Walen; her loving sister, Janet Williams, and many nieces and nephews.

She left 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren whom she loved with her whole heart. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Denny Fiferlick; and her parents. The family would like to thank the great team with Above and Beyond Hospice from Monticello, Iowa, along with all of the care team who made it possible to finish her journey peacefully, especially Patty and Cortini Walen.
