Obituary for Jeanne Ann Carboneau Jeanne Ann Carboneau, 79, of Traverse City, passed away at Munson Hospital Palliative Care Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018. Jeanne was born Nov.

12, 1938, the daughter of Victor and Edna (Lobdell) Carboneau, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She graduated from Sparta High School in 1956. Most of her working years were spent in banking, first in Grand Rapids, later in Arizona and Traverse City.

She loved reading, collecting vintage postcards and beautiful glassware. Jeanne’s family was always her number one priority – always in her heart and always first in her thoughts. Jeanne’s well-lived life remains alive in her much-loved family: beloved sister Judi Carboneau Crane, her brother in law, Mark Crane and nephews Nate and Josh; her niece, Jami Carboneau Dondit and Jami’s family Ross, Elsa, and Lena; her special sister in law, Gail Park; and her cousins, Barb Fuller and Irene Olson.

She met her life’s partner, Lynn Freeland, in 1978 and they enjoyed 40 years together. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents and the dear chum of her childhood, her brother, James S. Carboneau. Cremation has taken place and, at Jeanne’s request no services will be held.

Memorials to honor her and her adored cats Gaby and Lucy may be directed to the Cherryland Humane Society.
