Jeanne L. Barker, 61, of Girard, passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, May 27, 2018. Jeanne was born October 30, 1956, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of John L. and Rhea E. (Bilger) Perkins. Jeanne was a dedicated employee at Northside Hospital in the lab for over thirty years.

She was a huge fan of “Survivor”, and other reality television shows. She had a passion for turtles and had over a hundred turtle pins from friends, and always wore one. Jeanne made the best pizzelles and always had a tin full for family and friends on holidays.

She loved spending quality time with her family, especially her granddaughter. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Jennifer L. (Jeff) Pappa of Streetsboro, her grandddaughter, Jordan Pappa, brother, John R. Perkins of Girard, sisters, Jacqueline (Tom) Salerno of Youngstown and Jeanette Perkins of Austintown, nephews, John “Jay” Perkins and James Egner and a niece, Jessica Egner. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 31st, 6:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.
