Obituary for Jeannette Elaine Stephens (Theus) CORDELE – Graveside funeral services for Jeannette Elaine Stephens, 71, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. until time to depart for the cemetery.

Mrs. Stephens died Thursday night, Dec. 13, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Elaine was born in Americus, Ga.

to the late Sidney Harold Theus and the late Myrtle Louise Norton Theus. She is preceded in death by her husband, Royce Gene Stephens. Elaine was a Baptist and enjoyed her daily Bible readings.

She also loved her family and friends. She was a retired hairdresser serving her customers, which she considered family, for 48 years. She is survived by her siblings: Anne (L.C.) Little, Marie (Raymond) Patterson and David G. Berry all of Cordele; her nieces and nephews: Lisa Faircloth, Laurie Lewis, Leslie McGinnis, Lee Little and Beth Little Penn; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
