Obituary for Jeffrey Anderson Tinsley Jeffrey Anderson Tinsley, 44, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, June 18, 2018. Born November 15, 1973, in Spartanburg, he was the son of Douglas N. and Martha Anderson Tinsley of Spartanburg, SC. Jeffrey loved his family, especially his children.

He also loved animals and antique tools. He achieved the rank of Life Scout and was a member of The Order of the Arrow Brotherhood and St. Paul United Methodist Church. Jeffrey played varsity football and soccer, graduating third in his high school class at Camden Military Academy.

He attended Anderson College as well as Spartanburg Community College and was employed as a metal fabricator with Tate Metalworks, Inc. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Perry Harvey Tinsley; daughter, Odessa Allen Tinsley and son, Oryan Adrian Tinsley; brother, John Nolen Tinsley (Stacey); twin nephew and niece, John Mathew Tinsley and Lauren Denise Tinsley; uncle, Thomas C. Short; aunt, Nancy Umberhandt; parents-in-law, Albert E. and Vickie T. Harvey; and brothers-in-law, Joseph Allen Harvey (Julie) and Michael T. Harvey (Martha). The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
