She was 88 years old. Jenny was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on October 13, 1930, the seventh child to Eldradge Conner Vernon and Velma Dena Fisher.

In September of 1945, her family moved to Olympia, Washington and she attended Olympia High School. She married Clifford Ryser in 1948 and together they raised two children Len and Sandy on Holmes Island on Long Lake in Lacey. Jenny worked at J.C. Penneys in Olympia and later worked in banking, starting as a teller and leaving the job market as an assistant manager.

Jenny loved entertaining and was always ready for friends and family to stop by for a visit. She and Cliff worked together on lots of craft projects with Cliff doing the woodworking and Jenny doing the creative painting. They had a large garden and always canned enough to share.

They motorhomed across the country and Jenny thoroughly enjoyed meeting new friends. They lived in Arizona for many years and loved the sunshine. Wherever they lived, Jenny was a baker – always lots of cookies, pies and goodies that she loved to share with others.

She lost the love of her life, Clifford, after 68 years of marriage in May of 2016. She is survived by a son Leonard and Cherith Ryser, daughter Sandy and Mark Huntington; three grandsons, Kyle Claggett, Jeremy and Jenifer Ryser, and Jason and Tammy Claggett; two granddaughters, Angela and Joe Mettler and Tina and Roger Marshall; ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister, Betty Steele, a brother-in-law Douglas and Priscilla Ryser and by sisters-in-law Elaine Beam and Kathy and Don Werner.

A celebration of life will follow at the home of Mark and Sandy Huntington, 1136 Milbanke Drive SE, Olympia, Washington.
