Jennie Sue (Short) Neal, 62, of Mocksville passed away at Forsyth Medical Center-Novant Health Friday, February 22, 2019. She was a native of Mercer, WV, born June 15, 1956, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Ella M. Horn Short. She was the widow of Dennis B. Neal.

Her memory will be cherished by two sons, Richard Lee Neal (Christal) of Lexington and Jason E. Neal of Dallas, TX; three brothers, Roger Willbrant (Kim) of FL, Charles Short of Mocksville, and John Short; four sisters, Tammy Fralick (Jerry) of Bluefield WV, Sandra Ross (Ike) of Mocksville, Jacqueline Adkins Potts (Jimmy) of Lexington and Julie Byrd (Donald) of Bluefield WV; two grandsons, Richard J. and Matthew Neal; one granddaughter Victoria Neal and one great grandson Steven Mock also survive. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one her oldest son, Dennis Lee Neal; a granddaughter Jalisa C. Neal and a brother, Wayne Short.
