Jennifer ‘Jae’ Lynn Paul Harrison’s long fought battle with Breast Cancer ended on Thursday May 2, 2019 in her hometown of Conyers, GA. She was 52 years old. Known as Jenny to her family and Jae to her friends, she was born in Atlanta on November 21, 1966.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Janice Paul of Conyers, and was the youngest of their three children. She is survived by her son, Jake Harrison; loving husband Brad Smith; by marriage, children, Jennifer (Joseph) Smith Schneider, Alex Smith; brother, Dr. Al (Karen) Paul of Birmingham, AL; sister Shannon (Jim) Lince of Panama City, FL; brother-in-law, Blair (Michelle) Smith of Tucker, GA; father and mother-in-law, Dave and Anita Smith of Conyers; many nieces and nephews. Jae is a 1984 graduate of Heritage High School in Conyers.

She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia, and her Masters Degree in English from Georgia State University. She moved back to Conyers in 2004 to be close to her aging parents. Jae was a technical writer for software developers for most of her career.

She had a loving heart, was whip smart, and had a keen sense of humor. She was well known by her friends and family for the online posts of her rants, wit, wisdom, and general observations. We all know how much better and more entertaining this obituary would be if she had followed her Father’s example and written her own!

Jae was huge supporter and believer in local community arts and theater. She wanted to try and make Conyers a better place to attract the arts community to live, work, and show off their talents. She was a Board Member of the Conyers/Rockdale Council for the Arts and a supporter of Bella Musica Music Studio.

These are but a few of the things that made her very, very special. She will be missed by so many. This world has lost a beautiful person.
