Day, 65, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 1:00pm from the Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Day, daughter of Curtis and Lillie Mae Griffin Johnson was born in McComb, MS and died at Camelot Leisure Living Rehab Center in Ferriday. She is survived by her husband, Earl Day, Sr.; two sons, Earl Day, Jr. and Ricardo Day; four daughters, Wy-Shemia Sheppard and her husband, Bobby all of Ferriday; Melody Brown and her husband, Ike of Bastrop, LA; Zelectra Van Norman and her husband, Thomas of McComb, MS; Tawana Sommersville and her husband, Zazzabo of Little Rock, AR; seven sisters, Catherine Johnson of Jackson, MS; Wanzer Jones and her husband, Carrell of Natchez, MS; Wanda Banks and her husband, Oscar of Cartersville, GA; Tredina Ard of McComb, MS; Vanessa Johnson of Parlin, NJ; LaVancy Wrooten of Detroit, MI; one brother, Curtis Johnson, Jr. of Minneapolis, MN. Also a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Day is preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Nyesha Day.
