Mr. Jerry Kenny White Sr., son of the late Gerald White and Washlene Kennington Nathey, was born August 8, 1943 in Valparaiso, Florida. He attended the public schools of Okaloosa County, graduated from Crestview High School, class of 1961, and achieved an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force. He was united in holy matrimony to Iva E. White on June 20 of 1969.

This union was blessed with two children, Jerry White II and Lonnie White. Mr. White was an active member of the United States Air Force, where he held the rank of Technical Sergeant as a logistics NCO and accounting and financial NCO, upon retirement. He served honorably overseas and during the Vietnam War.

His decorations include National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, with 5D NCO PME Grad Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2D, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 2D, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Device, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal. Mr. White furthered his education by attending the Air Force OJT Trainer Orientation Course, OJT Manager/Supervisor Orientation Course, 2 Air Force NCO leadership schools, and general accounting applications course. Mr. White was Honorably Discharged from active duty on September 30, 1983 with 20 years, 7 months, and 26 days.

Mr. White was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Bethlehem, Georgia. He quietly departed this life Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Niceville, Florida. He was preceded in death by his mother, Washlene Kennington Nathey, father Gerald White, and stepfather L.J. Nathey.

Raised by the Nathey family, his beautiful life will forever be cherished; by his loving wife, Iva White, of Niceville, FL, sons Jerry White II of Winder, GA, and Lonnie White of Winder, GA, daughter in law Nancy White of Winder, GA, five grandchildren, and devoted family members, devoted cousins, and friends.
