OBITUARY Jerry Robert Martineau June 23, 1938 – October 20, 2018 Jerry Martineau, 80, of Arkansas, formerly of East Lansing, went to be with the Lord October 19, 2018. He was born on June 23, 1938 in Newark, New Jersey to Vito Pietro and Vera Lillian Maritato. Jerry served twenty years in the US Navy including two tours in the Vietnam War on the USS Intrepid.

Upon leaving the Navy he worked for the East Lansing Police Department 25 years as a dispatcher. Jerry lived in Alexander, Arkansas for the past twelve years and attended Concord Missionary Church before moving to the Cottages in Rison. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and refereeing basketball and softball games in his younger years.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Philip Henry Martineau. He is survived by his wife, Carie; two brothers, Phil Martineau (Diana) and Paul Martineau (Marcie); brothers-in-law, Bruce (Ginny) Jory and Brian Jory; sister-in-law, Marchelle (Kristi) Jory and many nieces and nephews and loving friends. Funeral service at Lake Lansing Baptist Church, 5960 Okemos Rd.

, East Lansing, Friday at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Military honors will follow the service. Burial will be at East Lawn Memory Gardens in Okemos. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 29777 Telegarph Rd.
