Mr. Jerry Thomas Osborne, Sr., 80, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 4, 1938 in Pineville, NC to the late Zeb Holden Osborne and Lula Coleman Osborne. He was a U.S. Army Veteran receiving numerous medals and commendations.

He was a member of Fayetteville Community Church. Jerry was a welder with Mozingo’s Machine and Welding of Fayetteville. Preceding him in death also are two sons Tony Silvers and Jerry Osborne, Jr

He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years Betty Jean Gist Osborne, of the home; one daughter Donna Osborne, of the home; three sons Donald Moreno, of South Korea, David Osborne, of the home and Darrel Osborne, of Fayetteville, NC; two sisters Velma and Joyce; nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service. A funeral service is planned for Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Fayetteville Community Church with Dr. Wesley Pritchard officiating.

Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with the rendering of military honors. Online condolences may be made at sullivanshighland.com. Services are entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.
