Captain Jerry William Manders, age 78 of Covington, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ovie Manders. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Manders; daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Mark Arnold, Laurie and Kenneth Padgett; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Mary Jo Manders; sister, Barbara Manders; brother, Jimmy Manders; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Captain Manders was retired from the Atlanta Fire Department. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Richard Culpepper officiating; interment will follow at Center Hill Baptist Church.

Family will receive friends from 9 until 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Harvest Baptist Church Food Ministry, 2075 Highway 212, Covington, GA 30016. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.
