Obituary for Jerry Williams Jerry Williams, 82, of Oskaloosa passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, at his home in Oskaloosa. Jerry D. Williams, son of Herman and Leola (Poe) Williams, was born, December 9, 1936, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Jerry was a 1955 graduate of Oskaloosa High School.

His life-long interest in wood-working began while in high school and after finishing high school he assisted his instructor, Harry Andrews, teaching adult woodworking classes. He served in the National Guard from 1956 to 1959. Jerry was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for most of his working career.

Since his retirement in 1998, Jerry repaired lawn mowers. He married Shirley Middlesworth in 1959 and to this union four children were born. They later divorced.

He married Bonita Barnett in 1991 and she passed away in 2010. He married Sandra Lee, March 22, 2011, in New Sharon, Iowa. Jerry enjoyed fishing, boating and camping through out his life.

He attended the Open Bible Church. Jerry’s family includes his wife, Sandra of Oskaloosa; his children: Jeffrey (Sarah) Williams of Corpus Cristi, TX; Mark (Aletha) Williams of Winterset, IA; Tracey (Brett) Mitchell of Oskaloosa; Waylon (Holly) Williams of Oskaloosa; his stepchildren: Marty Eckles of Sigourney, Mark Eckles of Oskaloosa; Mike Eckles of Ottumwa; Todd Eckles of Oskaloosa; Kent Stewart of Oskaloosa, Kim Johnson of Oskaloosa, and Kerilyn Westercamp of Missouri Valley, IA; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother: Donald Williams of Oskaloosa; and four sisters: Joyce (Jim) Hugen of Oskaloosa; Carol McGraw of Oskaloosa; Sharon Purvine of Douglas, Kansas; and Pamela (Jeff) Howard of Oskaloosa. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Williams and two sisters, Janice Williams and Pam Howard.

As was his request, Jerry’s body has been cremated. No services are planned at this time. Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory is handling the arrangements.
