Obituary for Jesse Frank Gates Jesse Frank Gates, 44, of Spartanburg, SC died suddenly Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Born August 22, 1973 in Salem, Indiana, he was the son of Gloria Jacobs Gates and the late Carl Gates Sr. Jesse was employed by Lucky’s Scrapyard. He was of the Baptist faith who loved his family, country music, and fishing.

His favorite eating establishments were Denny’s and the Waffle House. Survivors include daughters, Elisha Poteat and Mercedez Gates, both of Spartanburg, SC, and Hailey Gates of Union, SC; son, Jacob Gates of Union, SC; grandson, Andreian Whiteside of Columbia, SC; brothers, Carl Gates, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC and James Gates of Tennessee; and sister, Angie Gates of Spartanburg, SC. A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy.
