Jesse J. Witt, 70, of Colona passed away March 3, 2019 at his home. Visitation will be 4-7pm Monday, March 11 at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. A graveside service will be 11am Tuesday at Rock Island Arsenal.

Anyone wishing to attend should meet at the funeral home by 10:30. Memorials may be made to the family. Jesse was born March 11, 1948 in Monmouth, IL the son of Frank Witt and Esther Hutchins.

He served in the Navy during Vietnam and retired from John Deere after 30 years. He also served as a Union Steward. He loved spending time with his dogs.

Survivors include his step brother John Hutchins; niece Debra Witt; special friend Sharon Rule; great nieces and nephew Lindsay Parsons, Justin Sutton and Margaret Sutton and several great great nieces and nephews. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Russell and Mitchel Witt and a great nephew Marvin R. Sutton and three great great nephews.
