Obituary for Jessie Lamar Jones Jessie Lamar Jones October 27, 1956 – November 24, 2018 Jessie Jones was preceded in death by his father, Odis Jessie Jones, his mother, Almeda Jones, brother Benjamin Jones, sister, Freida Stowe, and nephew Jeremiah Tate. He is survived by his wife, Stacey Jones, of Cave Spring, Georgia, his children Brandi (Dennis) Matthews of Fort Campbell, Ky. , Jessica (Tim) Minter of Rome, Ga.

, and Joshua (Kari) Jones of Centre, Al. Surviving grandchildren include Rebecca Jones, Derek Matthews, Macie (John) Deaton, Madeline Minter, Malia Minter, Makinnah Minter, Timothy Minter Jr., Dixie Jones, Zachary Jones, Dane Crane, and Aiden Jones. Surviving also are one great grandson, Colton Deaton, as well as three sisters, Amelia Billingsley, Vonnie Robertson, and Kathy Jones as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jessie served as past grandmaster of Oostanaula Masonic Lodge F&AM113. He also served in the U.S. Navy from 1972-1975 with assignment in Viet Nam. Jessie enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and was a proud lifetime member of the NRA.

He was a farmer at heart with a special place for his chickens and bee hives. He will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held at 6 P.M. Monday November 26, 2018 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Monday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. Please visit our website, www.
