Obituary for Jessie Max Godwin Jessie Max Godwin passed away peacefully at his home on Monday October 29, 2018 in Loma Colorado. He was born on October 20, 1951 in Pensacola Florida to Leman Lurie Godwin and May Belle Bell. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Marie Godwin in April of 2010.

He spent most of his life as an engineer for 20 years. Jessie was in the Army from March 1969 to March 1989, during which he served in both the 159th Air Support helicopter Battalion and the 101st Airborne Division. He served in the Vietnam War from October 1969 until November 1970.
