Jewell Mott Fox 1935 – 2019 Our angel mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in her home in Provo, Utah on Sunday, February 24, 2019. Her devoted husband, Bill, cared for and watched over her until the morning of her passing. She left a legacy of love, compassion, selflessness, and service.

Jewell was born to Annie Prudence and Joseph Elmer Mott on September 12, 1935 in Alamosa, Colorado. She was the youngest of thirteen siblings, ten of whom preceded her in death. She spent much of her childhood in Colorado and later moved to Utah where she attended school and graduated from Lincoln High School in Orem, Utah in 1954.

After high school, she attended Brigham Young University. Jewell and her sweetheart were married on July 27, 1960 in Elko, Nevada. They were sealed one year later in the Manti Temple.

She worked part time for several years as a cashier in the tuition office at BYU. She also worked as the supervisor for the new brides at the Provo Utah Temple. Bill and Jewell are blessed with two sons, Greg and Darren, whom they love and cherish.

She will always be remembered for her love for others and her Christ-like service. Jewell never thought of herself, but always put her family and others first. She always thought the best of others, never finding fault with them.

She loved to be surrounded by her loved ones, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. At family gatherings, you could always find her playing a game, visiting, and showing her grandchildren how much she loved them. She was full of life, light, and love that will always be cherished by her family and loved ones.
