Jim R. Van Matre, age 80 of rural Darlington, WI passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born September 2, 1938 the son of Horace and Avis (Steiner) Van Matre. Jim graduated from Darlington High School in 1957.

He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sylvia M. Amenda on July 20, 1957 in Monroe, WI. Jim lived in rural Darlington his entire life where he and Sylvia farmed in Willow Springs Township for over 50 years.
