Jimetta Akers, 56, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday January 2, 2019 in her residence. She was born February 4, 1962 in Terre Haute to James Howard O’Vivian and Norma Jean O’Vivian. She was retired from the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility as a Correctional Officer.

She loved to play bingo and the slot machines. She enjoyed mushroom hunting and most importantly enjoyed spending time with her son. She loved and missed her dog Patches.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, Clarence Orville Crabb and two sisters; Vickie Lynn Melody and Patricia Jones. She is survived Jimetta Akers, 56, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday January 2, 2019 in her residence. Jimetta by her son, Jeremy Akers of Terre Haute, brothers; Mike Howard O’Vivian Sr. of Oklahoma, James Howard O’Vivian of Linton, IN, David Lee O’Vivian of Florida, Leroy Edward O’Vivian and his wife Patricia of Terre Haute and Michael Howard O’Vivian Jr. of Terre Haute.

She is survived by sisters; Marsha Elaine Reffett and her husband Robert of Brazil, IN, Jacqueline Ann O’Vivian of Terre Haute and Mary Kay Fugate of Brazil, IN. She is survived by several Nieces and Nephews. Services are Monday January 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN.

, 47804. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
