JIMMIE ALLEN JONES age 60, of 630 Berry Hill Road, South Boston, VA died Wednesday evening, May 8, 2019 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. Mr. Jones was born November 3, 1958 in Petersburg, VA son of the late James Allen Jones and Thelma Reaves Jones who survives. He previously worked as a brick mason laborer and was a member of McGhees Mill Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers, Ronnie Jones & wife, Charlotte of Brodnax, VA, Jimmy Lee Merhout of Ettrick, VA, two sisters, Sheila York of Richmond, VA, Kathy Everett & husband, Kenny of Stafford, VA, brother-in-law, John York, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Frankie Reaves officiating. Interment will follow in the Reaves Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Alan Everett, Michael Everett, Austin York, David York, Michael York, and Taylor York. Arrangements are by Strickland and Jones Memorial Funeral Services, 1810 Durham, Road, Roxboro, NC 27573.
