Jimmie H. Hacker August 7, 1930-February 1, 2019 Jimmie H. Hacker passed away in La Porte, Indiana on February 1, 2019. He was born in La Porte, Indiana, to John H. F. Hacker, Sr. and Gertrude (Horlbeck) Hacker on August 7, 1930. A graduate of LaPorte High School, he served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1951 to 1953, receiving a Marksman award and an honorable discharge.

He was the former co-owner of La Porte Mat and Mfg. Co. in La Porte, and retired from the Maintenance Department of La Porte Hospital. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

On October 27, 1956, he married Arlene Roempagel, in La Porte, Indiana. He is survived by his wife Arlene Hacker; daughter, Janet A. (William)Lockridge; sons, David J. Hacker and Wayne F. Hacker; grandson, James W. Lockridge; step-grandson, W. Chad (Vernelle) Lockridge; step-great granddaughters, Olivia and Sopia Lockridge; and sister, Mary Lou Disbrow. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gertrude (Horlbeck) Hacker, one sister, Marjorie Routt, and one brother, John H. Hacker Jr. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave.

, La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, February 7, 2019, 10:00 am until the time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday February 7, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Ronald A. Brauer officiating.

Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 111 Kingsbury Ave. , LaPorte, IN, 46350.
