JO-ANN’s Obituary JO-ANN OGLESBY GREER, age 79, of Winchester, Tenn. , departed this life on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Elk River Health & Rehab. of Winchester, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Jo-Ann was born in Shelbyville, Tenn. , to the late Frank Oglesby and Mamie Baker Oglesby on August 13, 1939. She was a member of the Broadview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jo-Ann was employed as a teacher’s aide at Clark Memorial School in Winchester for several years. She then left the school system and was hired as Service Manager at Sears. She received her Insurance License with the State of Tennessee and was employed at the former Watson-Gamble Funeral Home in Winchester for several years.

Her last place of employment was as a licensed Insurance Agent with Life of Georgia where she retired. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all that knew her and her wonderful smile and laughter.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas A. Greer of Winchester, sons; Charles Richard Greer, William “Bill” Greer of Winchester, Thomas Roy Greer and wife, Amy of Decherd, Grandchildren; Ashley Short and husband, Tim of Belvidere, Brittany Vaugham and husband, Casey of Winchester, Amanda Greer and Christin Greer both of Decherd, 6-great grandchildren and her sister, Harriett Satterfield and husband, Paul of Prescott, Arizona. Visitation for Mrs. Jo-Ann will be held from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 26, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services. A Graveside service will be held following visitation at Rosebank Cemetery in the Flat Creek Community of Bedford County, with Bro.
